Growth in uncertain times

These uncertain times have understandably thrown many of us into some deep questioning about our lives and what it means to be human. And for many, bouts of intense anxiety and existential crises arise. But what is really at the depth of our questioning – in my mind, it’s about what it means to be human – simultaneously individual and social… in that we all begin to question and explore what it means …

to live and to die

the act of living and dying

connection and disconnection

harmony and disharmony

fear and love

balance and imbalance

The polarity of extreme emotions and experiences exist, and such is the way of life. Yin/Yang Masculine energy/Feminine Energy and even Good/Bad

Just as nature always balances itself out, we are being called to balance parts of ourselves that are not in harmony, and maybe are wanting to be healed, finally.

Just as root systems are interconnected – we are learning that we are all interconnected with other people and with nature.

These times of isolation, fear and confusion bring us into the collective experiences of being human. Yet, paradoxically, has created wedges and division among us. Maybe even heightened internal battles persist. All illuminating what needs to be healed – collectively and individually.

These times provide an opportunity to strengthen the mind/body connection. To recognize what fear feels like in your body. To know the emotion of pain in the body. To acknowledge what peace feels like in the body.

When we more fully learn what the body is “speaking” to us – we can more accurately and easily follow its messages.

What are you craving in these moments – what is your body, mind and soul asking for?

Is the message to spend more time in nature, with family or with friends? Are you needing more water, sleep or laughter? Do you want deeper and more connected relationships and conversation? To feel more peace and joy?

When we can slow down, we can listen and when we listen in the quiet, our soul speaks to us. And sometimes the messages can come in whispers, or in symptoms or in dreams. Allowing ourselves to get quiet enough for a long enough time – we will then be able to see differently.

Sending you love!
